Worship

Worship is our response to God’s unfailing love for us and providing culturally relevant worship is a high priority at the Vineyard Church.

Worship is not just about singing a few songs on a Sunday morning but rather about the way we lead our lives. As followers of Christ we offer our whole lives as an act of worship, not out of duty or because we’re told to but because God has given us so much - it’s our natural response to Him. When we meet as the church, we have an opportunity to express our thankfulness to God together and we use music as a medium to express that thankfulness. We love to sing songs to God and about God and we believe that God loves to hear us and often meets with us powerfully during those times.

We like to encourage a real sense of freedom within our worship times together.

During a typical Sunday morning service you would normally see a band consisting of guitars, keyboard, bass, drums and singers leading us in song.

Training

We aim to provide the opportunity for everyone with a heart for worship to develop their skills both spiritually and as musicians.

Getting Involved

There are many areas in the church where we provide worship; from Home Groups and other midweek services through to kids’ worship and Sunday morning and evening services.

To be part of any of the worship teams, it is essential that you are committed to serving the church, to personal spiritual growth, musical development and to the vision and leadership of the church.

You should also regularly attend a Home Group and Sunday meetings.

Sound Team

If you have an ear for music, a heart for worship and a bit of technical ability, then the sound team may be for you.
If you aren’t technical but just want to get involved we always need extra people to help set up - if you can plug things in and carry a couple of heavy bits ... you’re in!

The sound team gets there at 8.30am on Sundays and you would only be on the rota on once a month ... unless you’re really keen!?
